Historical Records Society
The Herne Bay Historical Records Society provides a forum for people interested in the history of Herne Bay and the surrounding area.
The Society is also the custodian of a large archive including many paper exhibits and is currently actively involved in research in the town. In 2012 the Society will be celebrating its 80th anniversary.
The Society organises talks throughout the winter months, "Walks-back-in-time", a wine and wisdom evening and the occasional visit. Publications are available at meetings and via outlets in Herne Bay.
Our programme for coming season is below. Meetings are held in the Lower Hall, Herne Bay United Church, High Street, Herne Bay, starting at 7:00pm, doors open from 6.30pm. Meetings are open to members and guests.
