HERNE BAY IN BLOOM

GARDENING COMPETITION 2014

This is open to all residents and businesses in the CT6 area. A trophy and gardening vouchers sponsored by local businesses, clubs and societies can be won for all categories which include the following:

• Front Gardens
• Window Boxes
• Hanging Baskets
• Street and Shop Displays
• Environmental Projects
• Allotments
• Photograph of your Favourite aspect of your garden in any season.

In addition there is a garden design competition for the carpet bed in the garden opposite the Pier entrance with the theme of "Herne Bay Clock Tower" open to all under 16 year-olds. This gives the opportunity for the winner to see their design planted up for the 2015 season for all visitors to admire.

Closing date is 23rd June 2014 and judging takes place week commencing 7 July 2014.

2012 Gardening Competition

We are pleased to launch our Gardening Competition again this this which is open to all Herne Bay residents and businesses. A trophy and gardening voucher sponsored by local businesses, clubs and societies can be won for all categories.

Details of all categories can be seen on the attached image of the application form and range from Front Gardens, Window Boxes, Hanging Baskets, School Grounds, Environmental Projects to Allotments.

New this year is the category for a photograph of a favourite aspect of your garden which can be taken at any time of the year in any part of your garden. We hope that this category will appeal to gardeners who may have an area that they are particularly fond of and will give an opportunity to showcase their favourite spot.
